Ireland is witnessing a significant surge in demand for specialist talent in the private markets sector, driven by the influx of private equity, real estate, infrastructure, and private credit funds setting up operations in Dublin. This boom follows enhancements to Ireland’s Investment Limited Partnership (ILP) regime, which have made it a more attractive domicile for global asset managers.
Fund managers are expanding their presence rapidly, and hiring is ramping up across fund operations, compliance, legal, and portfolio management roles. Notably, there is strong interest in professionals with experience in private credit and real estate investment, many of whom are being lured from London and other European financial hubs.
Recruiters say that the biggest growth is being seen among mid-market PE firms and alternative asset managers who are drawn by Ireland’s regulatory environment, talent pool, and proximity to EU markets. The shift also coincides with increasing demand for back- and middle-office support services, such as fund administration and technology solutions tailored to private assets.
With private market assets globally projected to exceed $18 trillion by 2027, Dublin is positioning itself as a major European hub for private capital, second only to Luxembourg.
