Ireland Seeks Foreign Investment to Address Housing Crisis

The Ireland Strategic Investment Fund (ISIF) made its inaugural appearance at MIPIM, Europe’s premier real estate trade show in Cannes, to attract foreign capital for housing and infrastructure projects. With a reported €20.4 billion needed annually for housing, and €16.9 billion expected from private sources, Ireland is emphasizing the role of international investors in resolving its housing shortage. Developers are advocating for policy adjustments to entice long-term investments in sectors like private rental, student accommodation, and senior living.
